In recent years, the company has seen significant expansion and investment in hi tech machinery and facilities.

We operate across three factory units in Ballinode & Carrickroe, North Monaghan and employ over 160 people.

Graduate Engineer Role

We are seeking a graduate engineer to join our production team at the Ballinode site in Co.Monaghan. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their experience in the areas of; pricing, ECO management, production support, design and projects

 

The Applicant

Qualification

A level 8 degree in Engineering is essential (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing, or related) is essential graduating in 2020 or 2021 to 2018.

Other Requirements

This person should have a high level of mechanical reasoning and spatial awareness. They will be expected to use initiative and drive their projects but also be comfortable working in cross-functional teams. They should be willing to get involved in hands on work on the production floor. This person should already have some technical ability in both a 2D and 3D CAD packages and a strong ability in reading technical drawings. An ideal candidate would have some work experience in an engineering role e.g. internship or summer work.

Beneficial

Hands on electrical or mechanical skills would also be a benefit.

The Role: 

Based at our Ballinode Sheet Metal Fabrication facility, this Quality Control role will operate our Pre-Delivery Welding Quality Gate, inspecting welded product before it is shipped to our customers.  Working to detailed fabrication drawings and QC heat maps, your job will be to ensure that only 100% quality approved product goes to our customers. Where issues do occur, you will have responsibility for putting corrective actions in place and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Reports to: Welding Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily quality inspections to ensure all welded products meets requirements prior to shipment.
  • Completing Corrective Action activities related to welding process and CAPA system. Closing out corrective actions.
  • You will be involved with identifying any potential trends during failure analysis and initiating improvement initiatives.
  • Support Production Supervisor in day to day running of the Department.
  • Support Production Supervisor with all safety, health, compliance procedures and standards in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings/technical drawings.
  • MIG/TIG welding experience and understand welding standards desirable.
  • A "self-starter" in terms of time and task management.
  • Good communicator both verbally and in writing with ability to influence.
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

One of Irelands leading Sheet Metal Fabrication Companies, McAree Engineering are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team. The company is based across two sites; Ballinode and Carrickroe, in Monaghan and currently employ 160 people. This position will be based in Ballinode.

In addition to offering an outsource sheet metal fabrication business, McAree Engineering also operate a Mechanical Engineering Projects facility and manufacture V-Mac silos – their own brand range of agricultural, biomass and waste water treatment bulk storage solutions.

The role reports to the Production Manager.

The Role:

  • To organise and supervise resources required for implementing the production plan
  • Contribute to production plans, run weekly toolbox talks and gain feedback from operators to ensure continuous improvement on the shop floor
  • Take ownership of the health and safety for area of responsibility.
  • Manage factory floor quality.
  • Manage a multi-cultural team

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of managing people
  • A technical/engineering qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of operating CNC machines.
  • Fork lift license would also be desired but not essential.

 

These roles are available for the Day and Evening shift.

In addition to offering an outsource sheet metal fabrication business, McAree Engineering also operates a Mechanical Engineering Projects facility and manufacture V-Mac silos – their own brand range of agricultural, biomass and wastewater treatment bulk storage solutions.

Due to continued growth, McAree Engineering now requires assembly/General Operators.

The Role:

Working as part of the production team these roles will involve

  • Assembly of mechanical air control valves and other products
  • Pre-delivery inspection of products
  • Labeling & Packaging
  • General Operations activities
  • To meet agreed Production & Quality targets according to customer demands
  • To adhere to all Company Health & Safety requirements
  • Ability to work as part of a multicultural team

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Essential that you have a willingness to work and learn
  • Experience of a busy, mutli-cultural team environment
  • Experience of using Overhead Gantry Cranes/Forklifts desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of safe methods of work

Mechanical Engineering  - Design Engineer Roles

We are seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our Production and Projects teams at both our Ballinode & Carrickroe sites in Co. Monaghan. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their experience in the areas of; pricing, ECO management, production support, design, and projects.

We have a multi-year project starting now which will focus on the design and manufacture of large-scale industrial Ducting, Air Control Valves, and associated components.

The Applicant's Qualification

A level 8 degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is essential or another Engineering discipline that has a significant design element to it.

Other Requirements

  • You should have a high level of mechanical reasoning and spatial awareness.
  • Good Solidwork skills are essential and you should have experience of bringing products from design through to manufacture.
  • You will be expected to use initiative and drive your projects but also be comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
  • You should be willing to get involved in hands-on work on the production floor.
  • An ideal candidate would have some work experience in a similar engineering role.
