Position Overview: As a Manufacturing Engineer at McAree Engineering, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and enhancing efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the production of screenboxes, conveyors, hoppers, and various other metal subassembly components. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanical/manufacturing engineer to contribute to our cutting-edge manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes & production layouts to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards
2. Product Development: Collaborate with our engineering team to provide input on manufacturability, making design improvements to streamline production.
3. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer requirements.
4. Cost Analysis: Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising product quality.
5. Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to source and evaluate materials, components, and equipment for manufacturing projects.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and engineering drawings.
7. Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve production issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
8. Safety: Design safe methods of work ensuring production processes are carried out in a  manner consistent with McAree Engineering safety policy
9. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing engineering.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, preferably in metal fabrication or similar industries.
3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
4. Proficiency in 3D CAD software essential
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
8. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
9. Desirable: Lean Systems Certification, ECO Management, Epicor ERP
