Shot Blasting

Metal Preparation prior to painting is critical to the quality of the final paint finish. At V-Mac Coating Solutions we provide a shot blast service using chilled iron in our Shot Blast Room (14m long x 7m wide x 6m high).

Our Blast Room incorporates a modern shot recycling system and dust extraction system to ensure that the base metal is as clean as possible. Our sandblasting service removes all contaminants such as rust, old paint, etc, and provides a great base to start the powder or painting process on, and at the same time it normally reveals any problems such as corrosion weakness or broken weld joints.

We Blast to SA 2.5 which brings the steel to a clean grey finish, with most contaminants removed, and a very heavily etched surface which provides an excellent surface for Powder painting.
